Hello, Stranger

Hello, dear readers! We are very pleased to finally meet you. If you are on this blog, then you must also be very passionate about art and design, so we already have a lot in common. We want to introduce ourselves to you and tell you a little bit more about us and about what we are trying to achieve by making this blog.

Read this ‘About us’ section to find the answers to all these questions, and more! Thank you for supporting us and our newest adventure!

So, Who Are We Exactly

Let us start from the beginning. So, a few years ago the members of our small collective attended university together. All of us hold humanities degrees, so we have that in common. Back in first and second year, our university encouraged us to take modules outside of our degree specification in order to enrich our common knowledge and to also be more-openminded.

We kept running into each other in our first year and then we started our own study group where we discussed the things that inspired us, and we realised that we work well as a team. After we graduated two years ago, we kept in touch despite moving to different cities.

Why Did We Create This Blog

Once the Covid-19 pandemic started, we were all looking for ways to entertain ourselves, but to also improve ourselves by learning new skills. Yes, we did bake bread like the kids on TikTok. Yes, all of us. We would have also tried gardening, if we were not all urbanites.

Although we enjoyed having some time-off at first, this changed as time progressed and we were entering lockdown after lockdown. We still like playing online video games together, but we thought it was past time we did something productive (apart from working our regular jobs).

This is why we decided to create this blog where each one of us could contribute something of interest. Something that inspires us and takes our mind off the current situation. If the pandemic thought is anything, it’s that we can’t live without art.

All of us, and perhaps you too, watched dozens of TV shows, watched online concerts and what not during this time. We thought it would be nice to give back to these creators by making a blog dedicated to their work.

It’s even more important now that many of them have been left without work at all due to closures. Our goal is to thank and motivate them, and to show that we will always support them.

We decided to pick a very broad theme for our blog in order to fit as many areas as possible. We will attempt to include many different creative fields, and we will be happy to hear your own recommendations.

Thank You

That’s all from us. We hope you become a regular visitor to our blog and show support for the creative industries in the UK. We are very happy to have you here and we hope to hear from you in the future.

Thank you for supporting us and thank you for supporting the great creators of Great Britain!
